From November 24th to 30th, 2021 ITTF World Table Tennis Championships was held in Houston. It is the first time the ITTF was being held outside Asia and Europe.
After a week of competition, Fan Zhendong, Wang Manyu, Sun Yingsha and Wang Chuqin won 4 golds for the Chinese table tennis team in men’s singles, women’s singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles, with Wang Manyu and Sun Yingsha taking two golds each.

It is also the first time that the World Table Tennis Championships was held in America, and this year is the 50th anniversary of the “Ping-pong diplomacy” between China and the United States. In 2022, the 56th World Team Table Tennis Championships will be held in Chengdu, China.
