As AV, collaboration and workplace technologies become increasingly reliant on network performance, Midwich Asia has announced a strategic distribution partnership with NETGEAR, expanding access to advanced networking solutions across Indonesia and Vietnam.
The partnership marks a significant step in Midwich Asia’s strategy to help channel partners address growing demand for scalable, cloud managed and AV over IP ready infrastructure, as organisations across Southeast Asia continue to invest in smarter and more connected environments.
With industry forecasts suggesting AV over IP will account for 65% of AV deployments by 2030, up from 38% in 2025, network infrastructure is rapidly becoming one of the most critical components of modern technology deployments. From corporate offices and educational institutions to hotels, retail spaces and government facilities, reliable networking is now essential for delivering seamless user experiences.
By adding NETGEAR’s portfolio of managed switches and cloud networking solutions to its offering, Midwich Asia is strengthening its ability to support partners in building high performance systems that can scale with evolving business requirements.
Networking is no longer a supporting layer; it is now central to how modern AV and connected workplace ecosystems perform. With NETGEAR, we are expanding how we support partners across the region, delivering infrastructure built for scale, control, and modern AV environments.” said Alex Kemanes, Managing Director MESEA, Midwich (pictured left).
The collaboration goes beyond product availability. Midwich Asia plans to invest heavily in partner enablement through a range of education and support initiatives designed to help integrators and resellers maximise the potential of AV over IP technologies.
These programmes will include technical training, network design guidance, switch configuration support, cloud management workshops and deployment best practices, helping partners build the expertise needed to deliver increasingly sophisticated networked solutions.
“NETGEAR gives our partners confidence to build stronger connected workplace infrastructures from the ground up. Our focus will be on enabling the channel with the design knowledge, switching best practices, and cloud workflows needed to deploy at scale.” said Will Fenby, Director – Business Operations SEA, Midwich Asia (pictured right).
The partnership also reflects a broader shift in the role of distribution. Rather than simply supplying products, Midwich Asia aims to provide a consultative approach that helps partners navigate the complexities of modern networked environments. Technical workshops, live demonstrations and targeted market development programmes will form a key part of the strategy, supporting channel partners as they transition towards fully integrated network ecosystems.
For NETGEAR, the collaboration provides an opportunity to strengthen its presence in one of the world’s fastest growing technology markets.
“Southeast Asia is one of the fastest-growing regions for connected technologies, with increasing demand for simple, scalable, and high-performance networking solutions,” said Jason Tay, Sr AV Territory Account Manager, NETGEAR. “By partnering with Midwich Asia, we are accelerating our regional expansion and enabling partners to deliver powerful, next-generation connected experiences.”
As demand for connected workplaces, hybrid collaboration and AV over IP continues to accelerate, Midwich Asia and NETGEAR are positioning themselves at the centre of the region’s digital transformation journey, helping organisations build the robust network foundations needed to support the technologies of tomorrow.
