Lotte Cultureworks, a subsidiary of Lotte Group and operator of Lotte Cinema, has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering exceptional cinematic experiences with the continued adoption of state-of-the-art 4K RGB pure laser projection systems.
To date, Lotte Cultureworks has deployed over 100 Christie 4K RGB pure laser projectors, establishing one of the largest fleets of Christie CineLife+ Series projection systems in South Korea. This milestone underscores the company’s strong partnership with Christie and marks a significant step in its long-term strategy to transition from conventional Xenon-based projection to RGB pure laser illumination, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible operations.

Since 2021, Christie’s RGB pure laser projectors have powered Lotte Cinema’s premium large format (PLF) theatres nationwide. A major milestone was reached in June 2022 when nearly two dozen Christie 4K RGB pure laser projectors were installed at the flagship Lotte World Tower multiplex in Seoul, replacing aging Xenon systems. This included dual Christie CP4450-RGB projectors featuring CineLife+ electronics and Christie Real|Laser technology in the renowned Superplex World Tower auditorium, home to one of the world’s largest cinema screens at 34 meters wide.
Following the successful rollout, Lotte Cultureworks continued its laser conversion program, installing nearly 90 additional units since December 2024 across its multiplexes. The second largest cinema chain in South Korea has also deployed Christie CP4425-RGB projectors in select venues with enhanced sound systems to deliver immersive, premium experiences. By the end of 2025, another eight Christie 4K RGB pure laser projectors are set to be installed in similar high-performance auditoriums.
