Hikvision India has unveiled its latest Active LED Display product portfolio, marking a significant expansion of the company’s presence in the professional AV market. Leveraging its expertise in image processing, artificial intelligence (AI), AIoT technologies and large-scale deployment, the new portfolio is designed to deliver high-performance visual solutions across a broad spectrum of commercial applications.
The comprehensive range includes indoor, outdoor, creative and modular LED display solutions that cater to environments such as control rooms, retail spaces, corporate facilities, transportation hubs and public infrastructure. As a global provider of fine-pitch LED display technology, Hikvision combines advanced manufacturing capabilities with proprietary control systems to deliver energy-efficient displays with high refresh rates and superior image quality.
Comprehensive LED Module Portfolio
The new lineup includes several LED module options to address varying installation requirements.
The Regular LED Modules support pixel pitches ranging from P1.2 to P3.0 for indoor applications and P2.5 to P8 for outdoor environments, offering high performance while simplifying installation and maintenance.
For more complex architectural designs, Soft LED Modules provide the flexibility needed to create curved, cylindrical and column displays, while Cut-edge LED Modules enable creative screen shapes and custom installations without compromising display flatness or image continuity.
Indoor and Outdoor Display SolutionsHikvision’s indoor Active LED Display cabinets are available in multiple LED technologies to suit different project requirements.
Customers can choose from COB (Chip-on-Board) technology for enhanced durability and reduced glare, HOB (Glue-on-Board) for improved reliability and visual comfort, or the widely adopted SMD (Surface Mounted Device) technology that offers a cost-effective solution.
The cabinets feature an ultra-slim, lightweight design for easier installation and utilise a 16:9 aspect ratio suitable for Full HD and Ultra HD display configurations. Precision cabinet alignment and single-cabinet calibration ensure seamless splicing and consistent colour performance across large video walls.
For outdoor applications, Hikvision offers rugged Active LED Display cabinets capable of delivering brightness levels of up to 6,500 nits, ensuring clear visibility even under direct sunlight. The displays feature IP67 front and IP66 rear protection, aluminium cabinet construction for efficient heat dissipation, and both front and rear maintenance access.
Advanced Display Control
Complementing the LED displays is Hikvision’s range of C, P and V Series LED controllers, supporting display capacities from 1.3 megapixels to over 13 megapixels.
The controller platform incorporates built-in video wall management, allowing multiple content sources to be displayed simultaneously on a single screen. It also supports irregular screen layouts, enabling designers to move beyond conventional rectangular display formats.
Additional features include wireless content sharing from laptops and mobile devices, support for multiple simultaneous wireless sources, and an integrated content distribution system that removes the need for external digital signage players.
Unified Software Platform
At the heart of the ecosystem is Hikvision’s self-developed software platform, providing centralised management of the entire LED display network.
The platform enables users to configure and monitor devices, create and schedule content, manage signal sources, and distribute content remotely across multiple locations. It also offers web-based management, cloud-based configuration and batch deployment capabilities for faster commissioning, while supporting open protocols for third-party integration and customised deployments.
Fully Integrated Ecosystem
One of the key differentiators of Hikvision’s Active LED Display portfolio is its fully integrated ecosystem. By developing its own controllers, receiving cards and management software, the company delivers end-to-end optimisation across hardware, control and software layers.
This unified approach reduces system integration complexity, accelerates deployment, and enhances overall system reliability, scalability and long-term lifecycle support.
Wide Range of Applications
Hikvision positions its Active LED Display portfolio for a broad range of commercial and public-sector applications, including:
* Smart city and traffic management control rooms
* Corporate meeting and operations centres
* Retail and digital signage
* Quick-service restaurants (QSR)
* Education institutions
* Temples and places of worship
* Airports, railway stations and bus terminals
* Public information and timetable displays
With this latest product introduction, Hikvision aims to strengthen its position in the growing professional AV market by offering a complete LED display ecosystem that combines display hardware, intelligent control and centralised management under a single platform.
