AthenaSpace has achieved the Crestron ‘Works with Crestron AirMedia Technology’ certification for AthenaSignage, its digital signage module. The certification confirms interoperability between AthenaSignage and Crestron AirMedia enabled environments, supporting digital signage deployment across workplaces, healthcare facilities, educational campuses, retail environments, and other managed spaces.
“Most screens in a workplace only earn their keep while they’re running a meeting,” said Tanish Dhillon, Executive Director, AthenaSpace. “This certification means we can flip that. The same display that leverages Crestron AirMedia to power your Teams call can carry your announcements and updates the moment that call ends. That’s what maximising a screen’s ROI actually looks like, and it’s exactly the kind of problem we built AthenaSignage to solve.”
Turn Idle Screens into Active Assets
Many displays utilize AirMedia technology in ways associated with the meeting experience, such as presentations and conferencing. With this certification, organizations can further extend the value of those displays by supporting digital signage when they are not being used.
Outside of meetings, AthenaSignage turns that display into a communications hub, running announcements, updates, and other important information rather than a blank standby screen. Organisations get more use from hardware they have already invested in, without needing a separate display purely for signage.
Certification and Integration Details
The ‘Works with Crestron AirMedia Technology’ programme recognises third-party technology that has been evaluated for compatibility within the Crestron ecosystem. AthenaSignage has completed the certification process, giving organisations a more streamlined way to deploy digital signage alongside Crestron technology, with no separate display or additional installation required.
AthenaSignage can be managed through the AthenaSpace dashboard, giving administrators a centralised view of digital signage across their sites. Whether a hospital corridor is displaying wayfinding information or a retail floor is showing promotional content, screens can be managed through the same platform.
Deployment Across Managed Environments
The certification supports AthenaSpace customers across a wide range of settings, including schools and universities, hospitals and clinics, retail environments, and corporate offices.
Many organisations operate mixed hardware estates, with different devices and display technologies deployed across their spaces. Certified interoperability helps reduce the complexity of digital signage deployment, making it easier to maintain consistent content and centralised control across different environments.
For organisations managing multiple locations and display types, AthenaSignage provides a centralised approach to digital communications while remaining part of the broader AthenaSpace platform.
Product Availability
AthenaSignage with the Works with Crestron AirMedia Technology certification is live today. To let organisations try digital signage without upfront commitment, AthenaSpace is offering a 90-day free trial of AthenaSignage with every Crestron AirMedia purchase. Teams can test how existing screens handle announcements, wayfinding, emergency notices, and promotional content across their spaces.
“The 90-day free trial gives organisations a practical way to see how AthenaSignage can turn the screens they already have into always-on communication channels,” said Tanish Dhillon, Executive Director, AthenaSpace. “It lowers the barrier to getting started and helps teams evaluate signage across real workplace, healthcare, education, and retail use cases before making a longer-term commitment.”
