Barco has launched the I65, a new smartline projection platform built to bring reliable 4K UHD performance to a broader range of applications and to support today’s budget-conscious environments without compromising on performance. Combining image quality with flexibility and ease-of-use, the I65 expands Barco’s I-series portfolio, offering a complementary solution alongside the I600.
Extension of the I-series family
The I-series family is designed to make Barco-quality projection more accessible across a wide range of use cases. The I600 remains the go-to choice for multi-channel applications and scenarios requiring premium image quality, superior colors, higher refresh rates and Barco SuperShift® resolution. The I65 complements the portfolio by addressing more budget-conscious use cases while maintaining the reliability and performance expected from Barco projection.
All I-series projectors, including the new I65, support ILD lens compatibility which offers a complete interchangeable lens range, from ultra-short throw to long throw applications. A newly developed 0.35 snorkel ultra-short throw lens extends the platform’s capabilities even further, opening new possibilities in space-constrained environments.
This flexibility allows users to standardize on one lens series across multiple setups, helping simplify logistics while optimizing long-term value.
Built for simplicity in the field
Ease-of-use plays a central role in the I65 design. Its compact and lightweight form factor supports straightforward transport and installation, even with limited staff. Barco Pulse Lite software provides intuitive setup and control, while Barco Auto-alignment capabilities help ensure precise image positioning with minimal effort.
Together, these features make it easier for teams to deploy and operate projection systems efficiently, regardless of technical expertise.
Designed for use in museums, houses of worship, educational institutions, corporate meeting rooms, and rental workflows, the I65 enables customers to deliver engaging visual experiences while keeping operational complexity and costs under control.
A smart platform for modern projection needs
With integrated Intel® Smart Display Module (SDM) – a first within Barco’s projection portfolio – the I65 also opens the door to expanded functionality and future-ready workflows, including the ability to leverage IPMX (Internet Protocol Media Experience) in projection environments.
I65 will make its first appearance at InfoComm 2026, Barco booth N7231.
