Televic Conference recently announced the appointment of Midwich Asia as its official distributor in Singapore, marking a strategic move to deepen and accelerate the adoption of its professional conferencing solutions in the country.

Systems Integration Asia spoke with both companies about the partnership and their plans for the Singapore market.

The decision of the recent appointment builds on a successful partnership between the two companies in the Middle East, where Midwich played a pivotal role in expanding Televic’s market presence.

“We chose Midwich because of a strong and proven partnership in the Middle East, where they played a key role in putting Televic on the map,” said Bert Nijsen, Sales Director for APAC at Televic. “That experience gave us confidence in their ability to replicate success in Singapore.”

Bert highlighted that Midwich’s focused distribution model and structured key account management approach were key differentiators. “Our partnership with Midwich is about combining strong local market access with Televic’s global expertise in professional communication.”

A Focused Approach to Professional Conferencing
In an increasingly competitive AV and unified communications landscape, Televic continues to differentiate itself through a highly specialised approach.

“First, and most importantly, we are 100% focused on professional conferencing solutions,” Bert explained. “We are deeply specialised in environments such as parliaments, councils, courtrooms, and corporate boardrooms—where performance, accuracy, and reliability are non-negotiable.”

This focus is complemented by an emphasis on user experience, integrated ecosystems, and future-proof system design. Televic’s solutions combine conferencing, interpretation, and multimedia into cohesive platforms, built on IP-based architectures that ensure scalability and interoperability with third-party technologies.

Driving Innovation Through Scalability, Interoperability and Security

Televic’s product evolution is anchored on three core pillars: scalability, interoperability, and cybersecurity.

“Our platforms allow systems to grow from small meeting rooms to large, multi-room or multi-site deployments,” said Bert. “At the same time, we design our solutions to integrate easily with third-party systems, with open standards and APIs playing a key role.”

With increasing connectivity comes heightened security requirements. “We continuously enhance our systems with encryption, secure protocols, and compliance with IT security standards to ensure safe deployments in sensitive environments,” he added.

Building a Strong Partner Ecosystem
A key component of the partnership with Midwich Asia is the development of a robust and capable partner network in Singapore.

“Together with Midwich Asia, the goal is to build a highly capable partner ecosystem that can confidently position, design, and deploy Televic solutions,” highlighted Bert.

This will include structured training programmes, certification pathways, joint customer events, and comprehensive pre- and post-sales support—leveraging Midwich’s local presence alongside Televic’s global expertise.

Improving the Hybrid Environment
The shift towards hybrid communication environments is a major driver shaping Televic’s product strategy.

“We see a growing need to close the gap between participants in the room and those joining remotely,” said Didier Rosez, Technical Sales Consultant at Televic Conference. “Our focus is on solutions that integrate easily with platforms like Teams or Zoom, while delivering high-quality audio capture essential for intelligibility and AI-driven applications such as transcription and meeting summaries.”

At the same time, Televic maintains the structured functionality required in formal environments, including voting, interpretation, and moderated discussions—capabilities often absent in standard UC platforms.

Televic Conference has a long-standing heritage in supporting highly structured, formal meeting environments such as councils, parliaments, and boardrooms—where reliability, clarity, and control are non-negotiable—while continuing to deliver essential features like voting, interpretation, and moderated discussions to ensure full governance as meetings evolve.

“Building on that foundation, we are now extending those same principles into more informal colaborative hybrid meeting spaces,” said Didier Rosez, Technical Sales Consultant at Televic Conference. “The challenge is no longer just managing a formal meeting, but ensuring that every participant—whether in the room or remote—has an equal and engaging experience.”

A key differentiator lies in Televic’s approach to audio. By capturing sound at the source and combining it with integrated loudspeakers at each participant position, the system ensures participants can both clearly hear and be heard. This high-quality audio not only improves in-room intelligibility, but also provides a superior input layer for AI-driven applications such as transcription and meeting summaries.

In parallel, solutions such as the uniCOS CORE platform bring true meeting equity to the table—enabling participants to both see and be seen, while dynamically accessing relevant content or video streams. This results in a more natural interaction flow, where every voice is not only heard, but also visually represented, bridging the gap between physical and remote participants.

Engineering for Performance and Reliability

Didier explained how Televic’s key solution platforms deliver differentiation and reliability across a wide range of deployment environments.

“The Plixus platform supports redundant architectures with failover mechanisms to ensure continued operation,” Didier explained. “We also optimise audio and control data streams to deliver real-time performance, with full control over Quality of Service to prioritise critical traffic and maintain low latency.”

Beyond system resilience, Televic also focuses on simplifying commissioning and long-term support. Advanced diagnostics automatically map how all system components are interconnected, generating a clear system topology. Once a snapshot is taken during commissioning, the system continues to monitor itself and proactively notifies users of any changes—helping integrators and operators maintain optimal performance over time.

For wireless applications, solutions such as Confidea FLEX G4 incorporate advanced spectrum management and robust encryption protocols.

“It continuously monitors and adapts to the RF environment to minimise interference,” he said. “At the same time, WPA2 Enterprise encryption ensures that both audio and control data remain secure.”

“Ultimately, our solutions enable system integrators and end-users to deploy with confidence while addressing a wide range of application scenarios,” added Didier.

Targeting Growth in Corporate and Education Sectors
From Midwich Asia’s perspective, Singapore represents a dynamic and opportunity-rich market within Southeast Asia.

“Singapore is a strong market for us, particularly in the corporate and higher education sectors,” said Will Fenby, Director of Business Operations at Midwich Asia. “We see a large white space within higher-end corporates and local councils and courts.”

Midwich will prioritise Televic solutions designed for smaller hybrid meeting spaces and courtrooms—what Televic refers to as its “informal” range.

“In a market such as Singapore, we are seeing demand across multinational corporates, ministries, and higher education boardrooms,” added Will.

Driving Market Awareness and Local Support
Building brand awareness and engaging the ecosystem will be central to Midwich Asia’s strategy.

“Our success in the Middle East has been driven by being proactive in creating demand with end users and consultants,” Will said. “The more we invest in training and education, the more we will see Televic being specified.”

Local technical support and after-sales service will also play a critical role.

“As a trade-only, value-add distributor, our DNA is strong technical support and exceptional customer service,” Will noted. “We are building out our technical capability and refining our portfolio to ensure we provide world-class solutions, supported by our regional technical team.”

A Long-Term Vision for Singapore
Looking ahead, Televic Conference’s ambitions for Singapore extend beyond short-term growth.

“Success for us is not just about revenue—it’s about building a strong and sustainable market position,” Bert concluded. “We aim to establish Televic as a recognised premium brand, build a loyal network of top system integrators, and win key reference projects across government, corporate, and education sectors.”

“Ultimately, success means becoming a trusted long-term partner for both our distributors and customers.”
