Optimal Audio has announced the latest upgrade to WebApp, the secret sauce of its commercial audio ecosystem for small to medium-sized venues.
Supercharging Optimal Audio’s mission to be the go-to zone control software, making life easier for system integrators, installers, and everyday venue staff, WebApp 1.5’s turbo upgrade and a brain boost deliver sync speed improvements for smooth, lightning-quick operation for both system integrators and venue staff.
Available now for immediate download, WebApp 1.5 thinks faster and talks smarter to its wider ecosystem, comprised of zone controllers, amplifiers and loudspeakers.
WebApp’s revered workflow, which enables system integrators and installers to configure a 3-zone venue, on average, in under 5 minutes, features additional time-saving enhancements.
Faster configuration in WebApp starts with Auto naming. WebApp will now make suggestions for the names of sources, inputs and outputs where previously a user would manually add the names. This added intelligence enables ‘field entries’ to be named quickly and intuitively, based on options from both a library of preset names and from the Zone name, routing and speaker preset.
Optimal Audio’s Talk 8 digital paging station can now be integrated into a venue’s daily routines with WebApp 1.5, adding a level of zone control automation unmatched in its class. Audio files and announcements stored in the award-winning 8-zone digital paging station can now be assigned to a routine, such as a school bell or a marketing message in a retail store. This routine can either be triggered manually from WebApp or assigned to a time-of-day routine for automatic playout. Similarly, when using a ZonePad 4 in single zone mode, the Zone buttons 1-4 can be assigned as routines for instant message replay, along with other routine parameters changes like source and volume.
The update also brings built-in presets for Optimal Audio’s latest hardware arrival, the mighty Sub 18. With deep bass and punch to spare, it’s now easier than ever to drop in low-end power with zero guesswork.
As with all updates to WebApp, the companion offline tool, WebApp Desktop Demo, is also updated so users can get familiar with allthe functionality of WebApp without the need to be connected to a system.
