In a bold move to position Myanmar on the global esports map, the Myanmar Electronic Gaming Association (MEGA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with international partners to create Yangon’s first International Esports Hub jointly. This landmark initiative, unveiled on September 26, marks a new era for Myanmar’s digital entertainment industry and signals the country’s ambition to become a hub for esports, culture, and innovation.
The project will be rolled out in two phases, beginning with Yangon’s Largest Esports Experience Centre, slated to open in January 2026, followed by the International Esports Hub later that year. Together, these developments will not only showcase Myanmar’s vibrant esports culture but also attract domestic and international audiences, positioning Yangon as a dynamic destination for both competitive gaming and lifestyle experiences.
Phase 1: Yangon’s Largest Esports Experience Centre
Spanning 1,200 square meters, the Experience Centre will be Myanmar’s largest facility dedicated to esports. Designed as a multi-functional space, it will include:

Retail showcase zones for esports equipment, prosumer gear, and state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and visual (SLV) technology.

Greenwillow Creative Ventures and Esports Entertainment Asia support the Experience Centre. It will serve as the venue for the Asia Esports Summit, Asia Esports Festival, and Asia Esports Festival Online in 2026. Adding further depth to the ecosystem, the SLV Symposium will debut alongside these events, spotlighting Southeast Asia’s latest audiovisual technologies, training programs, and industry showcases.
Phase 2: Yangon’s Iconic International Esports Hub
Phase Two takes the vision to an unprecedented scale. Spanning ten acres, the International Esports Hub is designed as Myanmar’s premier integrated esports and entertainment destination. Its key features include:

A 3,000–4,000 capacity Black Box Event Hall and an 8,000-capacity Outdoor Event Ground for tournaments, concerts, and festivals.

It will also cultivate Myanmar’s next generation of esports talent by offering training in competitive gaming, streaming, casting, and event production — while fostering global collaboration through partnerships with international industry leaders.
