AV Stumpfl has introduced a new online screen configurator that streamlines the specification process for its projection screens, combining real time 3D visualisation, augmented reality (AR) previews, and automated parts generation into a single intuitive platform.
Available in both metric and imperial versions, the self service tool allows system integrators, consultants, and designers to configure products across six of AV Stumpfl’s most popular screen families: MONOBLOX, MONOCLIP, MONOLYTE, VARIO, VARIOCLIP, and FULLWHITE.
Projection screen specification often involves balancing multiple variables, from dimensions and frame options to transport cases and accessories. The new configurator removes much of this complexity by guiding users through each stage of the process in a logical, step by step workflow, producing a complete and accurate configuration without the need for manual calculations or extensive product knowledge. According to AV Stumpfl, the platform is designed to give integrators and designers greater confidence throughout the specification process by providing the right information at every stage and producing a complete, accurate configuration.
One of the platform’s standout features is its real time interactive 3D visualisation. As users refine their selections, the screen model updates instantly, allowing it to be viewed from any angle. Dimension labels can be toggled on and off, the screen height adjusted, and users can download both screenshots and the complete 3D model directly from the interface for use in presentations, proposals, or project planning.

Once a configuration is complete, the system automatically generates a comprehensive parts list ready for quotation, helping to reduce specification errors and accelerate the transition from design to procurement. Users requiring additional assistance can also access a Best Match recommendation or contact AV Stumpfl’s technical team directly from within the configurator.
The integrated augmented reality preview further extends the platform’s capabilities. Users working on a desktop can generate a QR code that transfers the configured screen to a smartphone, where it can be placed virtually into the intended installation space using the device’s camera.
This enables designers, consultants, and end users to visualise the screen at full scale within a real environment before placing an order, providing greater confidence during the design phase and helping clients better understand the final installation.
