Extron has expanded its conferencing solutions portfolio with the launch of the BT 100 AT D, a Bluetooth Dante Audio Interface designed to seamlessly integrate Bluetooth-enabled devices into Dante audio networks. The new wall-mounted interface bridges the gap between personal mobile devices and professional AV systems, making it easier than ever to support BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) collaboration in modern meeting spaces.
The BT 100 AT D enables users to connect Bluetooth-enabled smartphones directly to a conferencing system, allowing mobile phones to function as the communication endpoint for conference calls. It also supports high-quality stereo audio streaming from a wide range of Bluetooth devices, making it equally suited for media playback in meeting rooms, classrooms and collaborative environments.
Designed for ease of deployment and operation, the interface offers multiple control options, including front-panel buttons, RS-232 and Dante network connectivity for pairing, volume adjustment and media playback. It integrates with any Dante-enabled audio processor, including Extron’s DMP Plus Series AT models, over a standard local area network. Power over Ethernet (PoE) support further simplifies installation by delivering power, bidirectional audio and control through a single network cable.
The BT 100 AT D is designed to enhance meeting flexibility by allowing users to transfer an active mobile phone call directly into a conference room or initiate meetings from their smartphone’s contact list. Beyond conferencing, the interface also enables Bluetooth audio streaming from smartphones and tablets to a room’s loudspeaker system, providing a simple solution for presentations and multimedia playback.
