Yamaha Corporation recently announced that its ADECIA Ceiling Solution, a one-stop audio system for remote conferencing, has received Cisco collaboration device certification. In recent years, it has become mandatory for conference room sound solutions to provide excellent audio for both face-to-face and remote participants, while being flexible and easy to use. Smooth integration with Cisco products to create a complete ecosystem has also become more important.

Now certified as a Cisco collaboration device, Yamaha’s ADECIA Ceiling Solution is designed to provide all the audio equipment and functionality needed for any conference or learning environment. It comprises the RM-CG ceiling array microphone, RM-CR remote conference processor, a PoE switch and VXL Series P model Dante/PoE powered line array speakers.

The RM-CG uses Yamaha’s unique multi-beam tracking technology to automatically track the person speaking and detect the direction of their speech. Up to four beams can be used, meaning that even when multiple people are speaking at the same time, the sound is captured, delivered clearly to the remote location and any unwanted background noise is reduced.

The ADECIA Ceiling Solution also automatically optimises audio routing between devices, while the user is also able to make acoustic adjustments to suit the room environment with just a few clicks on the web-based interface. It provides a seamless remote conferencing environment which makes all users feel like they are in the same space, with easy, fast setup and adjustment without any knowledge or experience of acoustics needed.
