The MSG Sphere in Las Vegas, the world’s largest spherical entertainment venue, lit up its spectacular LED screens for the first time at its Fourth of July celebration in 2023. It is reported that Unilumin was also partly involved in the development of the MSG Sphere’s control system.
Prior to the construction of the MSG Sphere, Unilumin independently created a spherical LED screen with a 35-meter diameter in the Riyadh Season 2022, breaking the 2022 Guinness World Record. For this project, Unilumin provided a complete integrated solution for the LED spherical screen, including project creative design, large-scale outdoor steel structure design, customized LED screen modules, programmable digital control system and software, and spherical digital creative content.
With a unique exterior illuminated every day and night with immersive digital content, the spherical screen is not only an aesthetically stunning piece of artwork but also a functional venue that can host various forms of entertainment ranging from catering to immersive experiences in cinema and live performances. Consequently emerging as Saudi Arabia’s latest commercial and architectural landmark, its state news agency has reported that by relying on the immersive experiences created by LED Metasight technology, Riyadh Season has created unimaginable commercial and social value for the nation by cumulatively attracting 30 million tourists and creating 335,000 jobs, thereby infusing the country’s economy with billions of pounds.
In addition to the spherical screens, Unilumin provided a total of more than 10,000 square meters of LED ceiling screens, outdoor high-definition, creative digital contents and software control systems for the Riyadh Season 2022 project. Moreover, in the Riyadh Season 2021. Unilumin also supplied nearly 7,000 square meters of LED high-definition outdoor displays and creative contents.
