In a major initiative that carves its own way, AV and control solutions major QSC has entered into a strategic alliance with technology-powered building solutions major Distech Controls, with a view to offering intelligent building management solutions to its customers in the country.
The alliance will allow QSC India to engage in product sales, market development, training and technical support.
Over the years, QSC has demonstrated a strong commitment to the India market through continued investment and strategic growth. Beginning with the establishment of our local office, we have steadily expanded our presence, most notably with the launch of the Q-SYS™ Experience Center in Bengaluru, where customers can now see Distech Controls solutions in action alongside Q‑SYS integrations.
Distech Controls delivers a complete portfolio of open-protocol controllers, sensors, and software designed to optimize HVAC, energy, lighting, and other critical systems within a space. IP-connected controllers run on the Eclypse™ Facilities software for secure, on-premise control. Eclypse Facilities works best in smaller portfolios; EC-Net Facilities supports multi-site environments; and Atrius® Facilities extends scalability with secure remote access for portfolio-wide management.

“India is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, which is driving demand for smart buildings and intelligent spaces,” says Rajesh Mittal, Vice President & GM, India & SAARC Region. “As part of Acuity Intelligent Spaces, QSC now represents Distech Controls solutions, which can also be experienced first-hand at our new Q-SYS Experience Centre,” he explains. “The initial feedback from the market has been extremely promising, and we see great potential in creating demand for Distech Controls in India.”
Distech Controls connects people with intelligent building solutions through our disruptive Building Management Systems (BMS) and refrigeration controls, sensors, and software. For over 30 years, our open technology has made spaces smarter, safer and greener by focusing on end user outcomes. Distech Controls is part of Acuity Intelligent Spaces, a business segment of Acuity Inc.

Endorses Scott Hamilton, SVP of Sales, Distech Controls and Acuity Intelligent Spaces: “We’re excited to expand our presence in India through QSC. The growing demand for smarter, more connected buildings makes this expansion a key step in enabling system integrators to implement innovative solutions that provides better spaces, and better efficiencies.”
