Milestone Systems has strengthened its Asia-Pacific presence with the launch of a new Experience Centre in Singapore, positioning the facility as a regional hub for next-generation video technology, AI validation, and cross-industry collaboration.
The Centre represents a significant expansion of Milestone’s regional footprint and is designed to support governments, enterprises, and critical infrastructure operators as they transition toward more intelligent, automated, and interconnected operational environments. Built around data analytics, hybrid-cloud architectures, and AI-enabled video solutions, the facility enables real-world testing and solution development across sectors including transport, hospitality, urban infrastructure, manufacturing, and smart cities.
The initiative also aligns with Singapore’s national push for trusted AI adoption, outlined in the 2026 national budget by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, reinforcing the country’s position as a regional innovation anchor for advanced digital infrastructure.
“Asia is the world’s most dynamic security and smart infrastructure market, and enterprises are expecting deeper operational intelligence and more adaptable system architectures,” said Kiean Khoo, Asia Business Head, Milestone Systems. “Our expanded Singapore hub gives the region the capabilities, collaboration space, and expertise required to address these new opportunities and scale innovation.”
Regional demand for intelligent video and integrated security continues to accelerate, driven by rapid urbanisation, large-scale infrastructure investment, and growing expectations for real-time operational insights across airports, transport hubs, public venues, and commercial facilities. Industry forecasts estimate the Asia-Pacific physical security market will grow from USD 42.25 billion in 2025 to USD 59.54 billion by 2030, reflecting the ongoing shift from legacy CCTV toward IP-based, cloud-enabled, and analytics-driven platforms.
Milestone’s Experience Centre is intended to play a central role in this transformation by providing a controlled environment for testing interoperability, cybersecurity resilience, compliance requirements, and AI-driven operational workflows before real-world deployment. The facility also supports experimentation with multimodal data integration, combining video, sensors, and analytics, to enable emerging agentic AI systems capable of autonomous decision-making.
“Our expanded presence in Singapore reflects two clear realities: the scale and pace of demand across Asia, and the importance of scaling through open ecosystems and responsible innovation,” said Morten Illum, Chief Revenue Officer, Milestone Systems. The Experience Centre will play a pivotal role in helping partners and customers build AI-enabled solutions that are trustworthy, interoperable and ready for real-world complexities.”
The Centre features an expanded environment for scenario testing, multi-vendor integration, and modelling of high-density, real-time environments such as airports, urban transport, critical infrastructure, manufacturing floors, retail ecosystems, hospitality facilities and smart city districts. It can evaluate how AI workflows interact with real operational conditions, including video quality, data continuity, cybersecurity controls, and compliance requirements.
Illum added further: “Milestone Systems is deepening its role as a catalyst for innovation across the region’s evolving security and smart-infrastructure landscape with the launch of the Asia Experience Centre. By combining open-platform video technology, responsible AI principles, and a strong partner ecosystem, the Centre will help accelerate Asia’s transition toward safer, smarter and more data-driven environments.
