Concept Associates KL (CAKL) has been officially appointed as the authorised distributor for Q-SYS in Malaysia, marking a pivotal step forward in the delivery of fully integrated, software-driven audio, video, and control (AVC) solutions to the local market.
The announcement was commemorated at CAKL’s headquarters with a launch event that brought together industry partners, integrators, and technology leaders. Anchored by an official blueprint presentation and a symbolic “CONNECT” launch ceremony, the event underscored the seamless convergence of audio, video, and control within the Q-SYS ecosystem. Guests were treated to live system demonstrations showcasing intelligent room automation, including “Auto-Wake” smart triggers and AI-powered camera tracking that dynamically follows presenters as they move through a space.
During the official address, Tony Ang, Q-SYS S.E.A Sales Director, emphasized the strategic
evolution of the platform: “At Q-SYS, we are not moving away from hardware, we are evolving beyond it. We are building a software-based AVC platform where hardware, software, and cloud work as one intelligent ecosystem. This shift requires a distributor who does more than move boxes; it requires a partner who understands platforms, integration, and long-term value creation. CAKL has demonstrated that depth of capability and vision, and we are proud to officially appoint them as our distributor as we enter this next chapter of Q-SYS. We look forward to building meaningful collaboration together, driving growth, capability, and impact in the market.”
Castrit Lim, Managing Director of CAKL, highlighted the company’s commitment to providing localized technical excellence: “I believe Q-SYS is the best system in the market today because it is the only platform that unifies audio, video, and control into one simple solution. We are honoured to be the official Q-SYS distributor for Malaysia. CAKL will be here to provide the best local support and technical skill with such technology for your projects. Thank you very much for your support.”
The “Blueprint Presentation” provided a detailed overview of the Q-SYS Full-Stack AV Platform, built on three core pillars: a cognitive cloud, an intelligent platform operating system, and multimodal I/O. This tightly integrated ecosystem is supported by a comprehensive portfolio of Q-SYS-designed hardware, including high-performance processors, amplifiers, loudspeakers, and video endpoints. At the same time, Q-SYS maintains an open architecture through Q-SYS Open, leveraging industry-standard protocols and development tools, as well as a robust network of endorsed partners such as Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Sony.
As part of its expanded role, CAKL positions itself as both an ecosystem and enablement hub for the Malaysian market. The company plans to transform its main showroom into a dedicated Q-SYS Experience Centre, complemented by structured product training, hands-on technical workshops, and ongoing capability development for partners. To support fast and efficient project delivery, CAKL also offers an in-house authorised professional repair centre, substantial local inventory to minimise lead times, and immediate on-the-ground technical support nationwide.
The highlight of the event was a live demonstration of a modern boardroom environment powered by the Q-SYS Core 24f processor. The setup integrated a full suite of native Q-SYS solutions, including NL-C4 ceiling loudspeakers, NC Series high-definition PTZ cameras, and TSC Series touchscreen controllers. Attendees experienced the Q-SYS VisionSuite in action, with AI-driven features such as Automatic Camera Preset Recall, Intelligent Presenter Tracking, and Multi-Presenter Functionality enhancing collaboration and engagement in real time. The demonstration brought to life vision-based room automation, from “Auto-Wake” triggers to fluid camera tracking that followed presenters seamlessly across the room.
With this partnership, CAKL and Q-SYS are setting a clear direction for the future of intelligent AVC in Malaysia, one defined by platform thinking, deep integration, and technology that adapts intuitively to the way people work and collaborate.
