This year, the week of International Women’s Day has been eventful for AWC members in India. Owing to the fact that the Indian festival of Holi also falls on March 8th, the AVIXA Women’s Council decided to usher in the celebrations earlier during the week, i.e on Monday, March 6.
A total of 66 attendees across four locations – Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai and New Delhi, met up between 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm. The Bengaluru, Mumbai and New Delhi meet ups were hosted by Kramer Electronics India Pvt Ltd and the event in Chennai was hosted by Office 2000 India Pvt Ltd.
Across these locations, all the attendees were able to participate in fun games and discussions around what being in the AV industry means to them professionally and personally. Overall, they enjoyed these networking sessions in a relaxed setting and truly be themselves. In the Bengaluru event, a pop quiz was organized, where the attendees were asked to fill in a simple questionnaire about themselves and also share their suggestions on AWC activities in the future. All the four locations were also connected to each other via a conference call, providing a great opportunity for everyone to get to know each other. It was also heartening to hear stories, where a few members shared their experiences of being in the AV industry and how they were proud of belonging to this community of passionate and creative professionals.
The events concluded with everyone relishing delicious food and beverage and cutting a themed cake to mark the occasion.
