Futuristic Store Fixtures Sdn Bhd is a Singapore-based store fixtures specialist with a manufacturing facility in Malaysia. With design at the heart of its business, the company wanted the main conference room within its new manufacturing facility to reflect the same attention to aesthetics and functionality found throughout its working environment.
System Integrator Naga AV Sdn Bhd worked with Futuristic Store Fixtures to deliver a modern meeting and collaboration space that combined professional AV functionality with a simple user experience, without compromising the distinctive design of the room.
At the center of the installation is a suite of WyreStorm collaboration, presentation and USB solutions designed to bring video conferencing, content sharing and room connectivity together within one streamlined AV environment.
The Challenge
Unlike a conventional rectangular boardroom, the conference space featured a circular layout, making the physical integration of technology an important part of the overall project.
As a new-build installation, Naga AV was able to implement the AV system from the ground up. However, for a company focused on manufacturing and engineering, technology could not simply be added to the room as an afterthought. The equipment needed to integrate cleanly into the space while still providing the functionality expected from a modern corporate meeting environment.
The system also needed to remain straightforward for employees to operate. Users needed to be able to enter the room, connect, present, and communicate without navigating a complicated AV setup or relying on technical support.
For Naga AV, this meant delivering a solution that combined clean integration, dependable performance and intuitive operation while remaining efficient to install and support.
The Solution
Naga AV deployed a combination of WyreStorm collaboration and connectivity products to create an integrated conferencing environment centered around ease of use.
The WyreStorm SW-640L-TX-W 4-Input 4K Presentation Switcher, provides the presentation and connectivity foundation for the room, allowing meeting participants to bring content into the AV system from multiple sources.
For video conferencing, the installation incorporates the WyreStorm CAM-420-PTZ 4K Dual-Lens PTZ Camera, providing the camera element of the collaboration system, alongside the APO-SKY-MIC Ceiling Mic and COM-MIC-HUB Microphone Hub to support meeting-room audio capture and communication.
The EX-60-USB2 60m USB 2.0 Extender gives Naga AV additional freedom over the positioning of USB devices within the room, allowing equipment to be located where it works best for the space rather than being dictated by the location of the host computer.
Additional WyreStorm connectivity, including the APO-DG-HDMI Adapter and EXP-4KUHD1.0 Cable, helps complete the signal chain.
The WyreStorm platform is complemented by Audio-Technica ATDM audio processing, Next Audiocom A504 and C6 audio equipment, and Belden network cabling, resulting in a complete AV environment designed around the requirements of the room.
The Result
The completed conference room provides Futuristic Store Fixtures with a modern collaboration environment that combines AV functionality with the company’s design-led approach to its workspace.
Most importantly, the technology remains simple for employees to use. Feedback from the end user has highlighted the system’s ease of use and user-friendly operation, allowing meetings to begin without unnecessary technical complexity.
The installation experience has also been positive for Naga AV, with the System Integrator highlighting the simplicity and reliability of the WyreStorm equipment.
“The feedback from end users has been that the equipment is easy to use and very user-friendly. From an installer’s perspective, the WyreStorm system has been easy to install and reliable, and it has given us no headaches.” — Naga AV Sdn Bhd
For a room in which technology needed to perform without dominating the design, the finished installation demonstrates how carefully selected AV solutions can provide powerful collaboration capabilities while remaining discreet, dependable and intuitive.
By bringing together presentation switching, conferencing, USB extension and room connectivity within the same solution ecosystem, WyreStorm helped Naga AV create a conference room where technology complements the space rather than competing with it.
