Optoma Technology India Pvt. Ltd., a leading provider of display and projection solutions, announced a landmark achievement in its India business. The company has emerged as the No. 1 DLP Projector Brand in the Entry-level Pro AV segment (6,000 lm to below 10,000 lm, all resolutions) for Q1 2026, as per industry channel sales data from PMA.
This achievement is a direct reflection of Optoma India’s strengthened go-to-market strategy, deepened channel partnerships, and a focused product portfolio built around the needs of the Indian market.
Consistent and accelerating momentum has defined Optoma’s journey to the top of the Entry Pro AV DLP segment. In Q1 2025, the brand achieved a 9.39 per cent market share , placing it among the leading players in a competitive field. By Q1 2026, unit shipments have grown in absolute number three times, a 165 per cent year-on-year increase, enabling Optoma to claim the #1 position with a 21.52 per cent share of the segment.
The sequential performance further underscores the brand’s trajectory: from a 9.35 per cent share in Q4 2025, Optoma delivered 129 per cent quarter-on-quarter volume growth, with market share rising by 130.2 per cent in a single quarter, a pace that significantly outstripped overall market expansion.
“The Entry-level Pro AV segment, defined as projectors in the 6,000 to 10,000 lumen brightness range across all resolutions, serves large-venue applications in hospitality, museums, auditoriums, and corporate environments and represents one of the most strategically important categories in the Indian professional AV market,” says Vijay Sharma, Managing Director, Optoma Technology India. “Total segment volumes grew by 15 per cent from Q1 2025 to Q1 2026, reflecting healthy and sustained demand for high-brightness projection solutions across the country,” he explained. “Within this growing market, Optoma almost doubled its market share from 9.39 per cent to 21.52%.”
