Vaddio, a brand of Legrand, has introduced SpeakerVIEW, a new camera automation solution designed to improve engagement in hybrid meetings and learning environments by automatically tracking active speakers through directional audio data.
Built for corporate conference rooms and higher education spaces, SpeakerVIEW works by using ceiling microphone arrays to detect where a voice is coming from, automatically directing compatible Vaddio PTZ cameras to frame the speaker in real time. The system removes the need for a dedicated camera operator while helping remote participants stay connected to the conversation.
Unlike AI vision tracking systems that rely on visual processing, SpeakerVIEW uses directional audio intelligence from supported ceiling microphone arrays to determine who is speaking and where they are located. In rooms with multiple cameras, the system can automatically switch views as conversations move around the space. Administrators can also prioritise presenters, widen shots when remote participants speak, and customise how the system responds during silence or overlapping discussions.
The platform is available in two deployment options. Organisations can deploy the dedicated SpeakerVIEW Controller for larger spaces supporting up to eight microphone arrays, or existing users of the Vaddio EasyIP ecosystem can activate the feature through a free firmware update for the EasyIP Mixer and EasyIP Dock.
The compact PoE powered SpeakerVIEW Controller is also TAA compliant, extending deployment opportunities into federal and government related environments. At launch, the system supports [Shure](https://www.shure.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) MXA920 and MXA910 ceiling microphone arrays as well as the [Sennheiser](https://www.sennheiser.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com) TeamConnect Ceiling Medium.
SpeakerVIEW is designed to work with major conferencing platforms and hardware room systems through standard USB video and audio outputs, allowing organisations to integrate the solution into existing meeting workflows without changing collaboration platforms.
Purpose built for lecture halls, classrooms, and corporate meeting rooms, SpeakerVIEW aims to deliver a more natural and equitable experience for remote audiences while simplifying AV operations behind the scenes.
