Nureva Inc. has expanded the capabilities of its HDL310 audio conferencing system with the introduction of a new coverage map and automated camera switching, giving IT managers and integrators unprecedented visibility and control in large meeting and learning spaces.
Powered by Nureva’s patented Microphone Mist™ technology, the HDL310 now leverages coordinate-based (XY) sound location data to visually map exactly where voices are being picked up across the room. Through the Nureva® App, users can view real-time microphone activity, define camera zones, assign cameras or presets to each zone, and monitor system performance from a single interface.
As participants move and speak, the HDL310 automatically triggers the appropriate camera using precise XY sound location data, ensuring remote attendees always see who is talking. When room layouts change, users simply select a preconfigured room profile in the Nureva App, and the system instantly applies the correct coverage and camera switching settings—eliminating the need for manual recalibration.

This approach marks a clear departure from traditional camera switching solutions, which often rely on multiple ceiling or table microphones, complex DSP programming, and time-consuming calibration that must be repeated whenever a room is reconfigured. By combining built-in Microphone Mist technology with the INOGENI® CAM230 multi-camera selector, the HDL310 simplifies sound localization and camera automation without adding complexity to the AV stack.
The system’s coverage map presents a clear two-dimensional view of microphone pickup points throughout the room, making it easier for IT teams to validate coverage, fine-tune camera zones, and troubleshoot issues—without specialised tools or deep audio expertise.
These capabilities have already proven their value in Nureva’s HDL410 system for extra-large spaces, where they are widely used to streamline multi-camera deployments in rooms up to 35′ x 55′ (10.7 x 16.8 m). With this update, the HDL310 now delivers the same consistent workflow in rooms up to 30′ x 30′ (9.1 x 9.1 m), allowing organisations to standardise camera automation across both platforms.

“As Nureva continues to transform and simplify large-room audio, extending our coverage map and camera switching functionality to the HDL310 system is a natural next step,” said Nancy Knowlton, Nureva’s CEO. “These additional features will help our customers to create a more inclusive hybrid experience, where everyone in the room can be both heard and seen, without adding complexity to their AV stack.”
Availability
The coverage map and camera switching features for the HDL310 are available now in the Nureva App at no additional cost, with support in Nureva Console coming soon. Visitors to Integrated Systems Europe can experience the technology firsthand at Nureva’s stand (2N700), alongside the full HDL audio conferencing portfolio and the new HDX audio series.
