XTEN-AV, acclaimed as the world’s first and only AI-powered professional AV solutions platform, is like a revelation for the audio-visual world. In what would appear like an agenda-setting, it not only ushered the global AV into a world of virtual technology adoption, but also defined its transformation with tangible transition.
Six years after its seeding in the US, the AI-technology powerhouse is bracing for its homeland connect by launching its operations in India by debuting at InfoComm India 2025.
SIA spoke to its Co-Founders Sahil Dhingra and Vibhav Singh – two Indian AV technology entrepreneurs – on their initiative and intent. Excerpts

SIAsia: Having taken such an exciting path-breaking exploit, you took so long a time to launch it in India, your homeland, that is said to be the most dynamic AV market in the world?

SAHIL: Launching XTEN-AV in India has been a journey of careful timing and preparation. Back in 2019, when we first introduced XTEN-AV, the AV industry was very much hardware-dominated. Most AV professionals were used to traditional, manual ways of designing and managing projects, and naturally, there was some hesitation in adopting a fully software-driven approach.
Over the years, we focused on building a platform that could genuinely simplify the complex workflows of AV design, proposal, and project management, while respecting the expertise and practices professionals were already familiar with. Entering India, one of the most dynamic AV markets in the world, meant taking this careful approach further, understanding local workflows, standards, and business practices, and ensuring XTEN-AV could make a meaningful, seamless impact.
It may have taken time, but this thoughtful journey ensures our debut in India is not just an expansion, it’s a celebration of bringing a transformative solution home, where it can truly empower AV professionals to work smarter, faster, and more collaboratively.
SIAsia: What marks your India launch, and InfoComm India debut? What product/solutions would you showcase, and or promote in India?

VIBHAV: Our India launch and InfoComm India debut mark a defining moment for XTEN-AV and the AV industry in the country. XTEN-AV is the only platform that allows users to complete AV designs, proposals, and project management entirely on the same platform. It serves as a single source of truth for all design, sales, and project data and is completely machine and human agnostic. By consolidating workflows, XTEN-AV removes the need for multiple tools, subscriptions, and manual collaboration, making AV operations seamless and efficient.

With our recently launched XAVIA, the AV industry’s first AI agent, users can automate everything from AV designs, BOMs, and proposals to project management tasks, reports, and insights using simple voice or chat commands. This will be one major highlight of our debut at InfoComm India 2025, demonstrating to Indian AV professionals how transformative a fully integrated, intelligent AV platform can be.
SIAsia: You partnered with Bisht Price for Indian operations. What strengths and skill sets did you find in them to join?

SAHIL: We partnered with Bisht Price because they bring a deep understanding of the Indian AV market, extensive experience, and a strong network of partners. On a personal note, Vibhav has known D.S. Bisht for more than a decade, going back to his pre-XTEN-AV days. Bisht Price was also one of our first few subscribers, and it was their genuine support for new technology and innovation that encouraged us to build deeper partnerships within the industry. Trusted partners and early advocates of innovation are what help a business grow and succeed. More importantly, Bisht Price shares our vision of transforming AV design, proposal, and project management through technology. Their operational expertise, market insight, and commitment to innovation make them the ideal partner to help XTEN-AV reach and empower AV professionals across India. Together, we can ensure that XTEN-AV is not just a software solution, but a practical, implementable tool that can truly change the way AV projects are designed, managed, and delivered.
SIAsia: Xten-AV is all virtual, while most components AV operations in India are still the same manual- though some have begun adoption of virtual tools. What impact do you intend/visualize to make on Indian AV?
VIBHAV: XTEN-AV is designed to bridge the gap between traditional AV workflows and the fully digital future. We understand that much of the Indian AV industry still relies on manual methods, and while some virtual tools are being adopted, the transition has been gradual. Our aim is not to replace human expertise, but to empower it. By automating complex designs, streamlining proposals, and unifying project management, XTEN-AV helps AV professionals work faster, reduce errors, and collaborate more effectively.
Now that XTEN-AV has been tried and tested by the global market, it is the perfect tool to help Indian integrators level up to international standards. We envision Indian AV design evolving into a more data-driven, agile, and collaborative process, with XTEN-AV acting as the single source of truth for all project, design, and sales data. Over time, we hope Indian AV businesses will embrace fully integrated digital workflows, achieving precision, efficiency, and quality that can compete on a global scale.
SIAsia: With virtual tools like AI, GenAI, and ChatGPT etc. the virtual AV is expanding at galactic pace. Does XTEN-AV not find itself against those strong currents? What’s your strategy to stand the winds and trends, if not set one by yourself?
SAHIL & VIBHAV: The rise of AI and virtual tools is not a current we resist; it is one we have chosen to embrace. From the very beginning, XTEN-AV was built to integrate with AI technologies, including GenAI and automation, in a way that is deeply focused on the needs of the AV industry. Unlike generic tools, XTEN-AV provides intelligence that AV professionals can immediately apply to real projects.

Our approach has always been to innovate steadily and thoughtfully, staying ahead of trends while delivering solutions that are practical and ready to use. With XAVIA, the AV industry’s first AI agent, users can automate almost every aspect of AV work, from designs, BOMs, and proposals to project management tasks, reports, and insights. By combining AI-driven intelligence with a fully integrated, cloud-based platform, XTEN-AV does not just keep pace with the rapid growth of virtual AV tools; it shows AV professionals how modern workflows can truly transform the way they work.
