They set out to create products that were not only impressive in design and features but were so simple to use that everyone can interact and enjoy the innovation behind them. The company’s corporate headquarters is based in Texas, USA with the Asia-Pacific office located in Taiwan.
SI Asia chatted with Terence Chen, Deputy General Manager, APAC Sales Division, Newline Interactive Inc.
SI Asia: Tell us a little bit more about Newline Interactive.
Terence: Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Plano, Texas, newline is the global-leading collaboration solution brand. We have offices in the USA, Spain, India, Korea, and Taiwan. The global presence and experience allow us to provide a full range of collaboration solutions that shall support the talents to Connect, Create, and Collaborate cost-effectively.
newline is the only brand in the IFPD industry that actually owns its own brand.
We break through the manufacturing glass ceiling and have been an end-to-end company that masters the entire chain from R&D, manufacturing, sales, marketing, branding, to a global operation.
According to the latest FutureSource report, newline is ranked as the number 4 interactive display brand worldwide. As newline is advancing into the China market this year and rapidly expanding in the emerging-market countries, such as Indonesia, Philippines, and India, we believe our ranking will be improved to number 3 very soon.
SI Asia: What are the segments that newline is focused on?
Terence: newline provides a complete range of collaboration solutions that fits the needs of all kinds of organisations, from SMB to Fortune 500 companies, from schools to public sectors, government institutions, and so on.
We learn our customers’ needs, understand their constraints, and provide them with customized solution package to further transform their environment or ecosystem with more efficient and productive collaboration.
SI Asia: What is the strategy to gain market share?
Terence: newline does not just harness the experiences from the matured western markets, but also competes in the fast-changing eastern markets. We see how digital technology has revolutionized the way people work, learn and live, and create an intelligent collaboration platform that enables people to work better, faster and smarter.
With a full range of interactive multi-touch collaboration solutions, we combine the old, familiar tech features with the new, intuitive experience, enabling our partners and customers to stay ahead of the competition.
Up till today, newline solutions have been launched at over 60 countries worldwide. We have branch offices in six countries and will keep expanding to make sure localized service is provided to fulfill different local needs.
SI Asia: Do you have any personal goals for newline?
Terence: newline currently occupies the fourth spot globally in terms of market share for IFPDs, and my ambition is for newline to become number three or even two by the end of 2020.
We have solid plans to expand our education sector to the populated countries, such as Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia, and will keep cultivating the corporate market in APAC region.
With advanced collaboration solutions, global profession, and local experience, I am confident that newline shall out-compete in the IFPD industry.
