Panasonic System Solutions Asia Pacific , together with its authorised Singapore distributor Absolute AV Pte Ltd, held its Flat Panel Display Launch at the Equarius Hotel Ballroom, Resorts World Sentosa on 1st August.
For better crowd management, the event was split into two sessions with guest opting on the session they preferred to attend. The event drew system integrators, partners of both Panasonic and Absolute AV, as well as consultants and end-users.
William Chan, Director of Panasonic System Solutions Asia Pacific, kicked off the event with a brief speech highlighting that the company acknowledges that the display industry is growing with varied customer requirements and choices amidst falling prices.
“It is obvious that to grow our business and footprint, we have to continue to develop new products and focus on our customers who are now exposed to many choices whereby decisions are based on cost-effective solutions and products.”
Mr Chan added, “Over the years, Panasonic has continued to devote and persist in its developments to bring the highest and best quality product to our customers. With our continuing efforts to pursue improvements as well as our technologies behind it, I hope that this session will be beneficial for all of you.”
Mr Yuki Sakamoto, Product Head, Panasonic System Solution Asia Pacific shared and informed guests that the company will be launching 29 new Flat Panel Display models this year alone from September onwards. There will be more models with Intel SDM (Smart Display Module) and OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) options offered in different sized panels.
Mr Sakamoto also informed the guests that Panasonic has collaborated with AcroSign Digital Signage System to integrate WEB Based Contents Management Software with their displays. The collaboration has already been effected in Japan and will be available in other countries soon.
He highlighted that this collaboration offers basic CMS options for customers as a one-stop solution.
Mr Harry Tan , Managing Director of Absolute AV, the co-organiser of the event told the gathered audience that the showcase was meant to show them total solutions and not just the displays. “Our intention is to show how the different solutions synergise to bring a total solution.”

The Panasonic displays on showcase included the SK1 entry-level flat panel display that supports USB Media player; the PT-VMZ60 SOLID SHINE laser projector; the EFP1 Series display targeted for indoor signage usage featuring USB Media player and OPS connectivity; the EQP1 Series Large-screen 4K entry-level professional display with OPS slot; the ET-D3LEU100 Series zero-offset ultra short-throw lens integrated into the world’s smallest and lightest 20,000 lumen 4K PT-RQ22K projector; the SQP1 Series 4K LCD display with OPS slot that offers powerful features for pro-users in a lightweight and stylish design; the SQ1 4K display series that supports SDM slots and the LFV8 narrow bezel video wall with 3.5mm bezel to bezel distance.
The event saw the following participating solution partners: M1, M-Fusion, iBASE, Wolfvision, Advantech, Calibre UK, AV Media, XLT, Puffer Fish, Tricolor, Hyper Communications, Sennheiser and Logitech.
With the involvement of the different participating solution partners, guests got to view integrated interactive solutions, mounting solutions, CMS systems with data analytics incorporated, video conferencing solutions and collaboration solutions.
