British Image Scaling and Processing solutions major Calibre demonstrated at the ISE 2017 the broad capabilities of their popular HQUltra 4K presentation scaler-switchers and LED screen scalers.

Calibre’s proprietary HQUltra, halo-free, low-latency 4K presentation switcher provide stunning image quality in demanding applications such as professional AV, staging, broadcast, houses of worship, medical, corporate AV and education- at ultra-fast sppeds of approximately 0.25 second, yes, a quarter of a second!

The scaler-switcher comes in many configurations that include video scaler-switchers, audio and video scaler-switchers with analog audio, microphone inputs and integral 30W RMS power amplifier and also models with inbuilt H.264 1080p streaming video decoder.  The streaming video models provide the perfect crossover between conventional and streaming video sources.

“The market has adopted HQUltra because of its ability to switch in under ¼ second and its outstanding low latency halo-free image scaling to produce future-proof, reliable and outstanding image quality,” said Tim Brooksbank, CEO at Calibre. “Our technology outperforms the competition in terms of visual information and performance.”

Alongside the scaler-switchers, Calibre also demonstrated its 4K LEDView scaler-switchers that bring ultra-HD capability to LED screens. HQUltra technology provides pixel-accurate image resizing with outstanding downscaling and upscaling capability. As with previous generations of Calibre LED scalers, the current generation come with different models for diverse applications.

LEDView730 and LEDView770 are ideal for rental, staging, broadcast and fixed installation in demanding environments while LEDView720 and LEDView725 are cost effective solutions for fixed installation applications such as public information, retail, houses of worship, conference venues and mobile LED trucks. All models are available with optional H.264 1080p streaming video input so networked IP video content can be fed directly into the LED scaler for display on the LED screen without the need for a separate IP video decoder.
