InfoComm China 2016: A Focus On AV Communications In A Hyperconnected World

InfoComm China 2016 presented professional audiovisual and information communication technologies that help businesses across all industries embrace the Internet of Things.

This 11th edition of the annual exhibition featured the exciting debut of Hospitality Technology Expo (HTx), China’s first tradeshow dedicated to technologies for the hospitality industry, co-located with InfoComm China 2016. The expanded showcase with the concurrent shows provided both exhibitors and visitors with greater cross-over benefits; with more solutions to see and business opportunities to explore.

InfoComm China 2016 had ended on a high note with yet another record turnout of visitors, attracted by its larger show floor which accommodated the addition of more than 50 new exhibitors among its line-up of 287 exhibitors from 40 countries and regions.

“The Internet of AV Things, the next frontier in the digital revolution where everything – including pro-AV and ICT devices – is connected to the internet, is dawning upon us faster than we think,” said Richard Tan, Executive Director of InfoCommAsia.

“Staying true to our vision to position InfoComm China as the launch pad of solutions that will shape the future of pro-AV and ICT businesses, we have successfully attracted many exhibitors who launched their latest and newest innovations and solutions, designed to equip businesses for the IoAVT, for the first time for the global market.”

Co-located Hospitality Technology Expo
HTx is a joint-venture between China Hospitality Technology Alliance (CHTA) and InfoCommAsia. Co-location of the two exhibitions offered synergies by exposing the hospitality industry to an unprecedented immense array of technologies beyond just pro-AV and ICT, and providing a forum for service providers and end-users in the hospitality sector to meet and discover new cross-over business opportunities.

InfoComm China Summit
InfoComm China Summit is a highly-regarded and highly-attended signature feature of InfoComm China. The only industry event of its kind in the Asia Pacific, InfoComm China Summit brings together industry leaders, researchers and academics, innovators and user-group associations to address issues and challenges posed by industry shifts and pro-AV and ICT advancements. Adding to the event’s drawing power this year, over 40 Summit sessions were delivered to cover all aspects of pro-AV and ICT technology applications and business sustainability.

InfoComm China 2016 Summit also ascended new heights with the support and participation of prestigious relevant trade associations and alliances, including Digital Signage Multimedia Alliance Taiwan (DSMA Taiwan), Guangdong Wise City Industry Innovation Alliance (SCIAGD) and Yixing Economic & Technological Development Zone – YiXing Projection Industrial Park.

A highlight at this year’s InfoComm China was the Digital Signage Asia Forum, a joint collaboration with Digital Signage Multimedia Alliance (DSMA Taiwan), a private organization comprised of voluntary manufacturers with the goal to develop and enhance the competitiveness of the ICT hardware and software, system integration and R&D industries. The forum shone the spotlight on digital signage and its impact on 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and the retail market in South East Asia. It also featured a keynote presentation and panel discussion.

Embracing Change, Enhancing Strengths
IoT will change business models, and pro-AV and ICT solutions will continue to evolve within the IoT ecosystem. InfoComm China is an avenue to push the envelope in this sector, and this year’s edition demonstrated the annual event’s continued and growing popularity and credibility with its successful run every year since 2003.
