Walking distance from the pristine, white beaches of Broadbeach lies the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC). Owned by the Queensland Government and managed by The Star Entertainment Group, the GCCEC is Australia’s largest regional convention centre. In line with its reputation for world-class service, the venue invests heavily in state-of-the-art technology to offer a seamless experience. This includes the installation of 15 ClickShare wireless presentation systems, one in every meeting room.
To give clients and their guests a seamless, best-in-class experience, GCCEC invested heavily in Barco projection and processing technology. These include the 3D HDX-W14 and ultra-versatile RLM-W8 projectors, as well as E2Event Master screen management processors. Inspired by the excellent experiences with these solutions, the GCCEC decided to further streamline its offering by adding ClickShare.
Simplifying the meeting space
ClickShare was installed into all meeting rooms and boardrooms at the GCCEC, with additional units held in stock for on-demand use. “The wireless presentation system helped us to drastically simplify the audio visual setup in each meeting space. Now, we no longer need multiple connection types like VGA, DVI, and HDMI,” explains Benjamin Morris, GCCEC’s Audio Visual Manager. “Gone are the messy cables and additional switching equipment. At the same time, ClickShare allowed us to solve the age-old scaling and scan conversion issues associated with various signal formats. This isn’t just neat, it also saves us a lot of time and labour costs. Our technical team is receiving fewer service calls as well.”
