The turnout for the InfoComm Academy and Roundtable at the Empire Hotel in Hong Kong on April 16 was well attended.

CHIEF was the sponsor of the InfoComm Roundtable program. The program included a manufacturer's training by CHIEF, a guest presentation entitled “Blue Sky Tomorrow” by Li Siu Lam of Johnson Controls and the roundtable discussion.

The event started with a welcome speech by Scott Wills, CTS-D, CTS-I, Director of International Education for InfoComm International who also took the opportunity to update members about the new membership structure.

The guest presenter, Li Siu Lam's presentation on “Blue Sky Tomorrow” delved on the uncontrollable emissions of Green Houses Gases (GHG), especially in the rapidly growing countries, thus contributing to Global climate warming. To help combat global warming, he touched on the latest sustainable development on building technologies.

This was followed by the Roundtable discussion which provided members an opportunity to gain information and voice their opinion about challenges facing the AV industry. The evening ended with a reception.

“The Roundtable provides for a great opportunity for members to network as well as discuss future trends and day-to-day challenges,” said Andy Tan, CTS, Regional Director, InfoComm International.
