Kramer
Electronics has announced the introduction of the Cobra line of ultra long
distance twisted pair products that take twisted pair technology to a
completely new level. Designed for professional audio/video systems integration
and public display/signage markets, the Cobra line provides previously
unattainable solutions for long-distance resolution and control. The line
includes four transmitters, four receivers, two matrix switchers and one
distribution amplifier
The Cobra family of products offers one of the industry’s highest video
resolution and distance capabilities to date: 1920 x 1200 at 1300 feet. The
products also feature bi-directional RS-232 for two-way communication and
control.
Cobra
Transmitters Provide Choices
Four new
Cobra transmitters support video signals from composite to RGBHV. Each adds
audio and/or control features that will enable customers to choose the
transmitter appropriate to the signals they wish to send.
- The Cobra TS2 – video, stereo audio and RS-232.
- The Cobra T2 - video and RS-232.
- The Cobra TA - video and audio.
- The Cobra TWA – Decora style wall plate for video and audio.
Cobra
Receivers Build Systems
The four new receivers in the Cobra line also support video from
composite to RGBHV, stereo audio and control choices, beginning with the
top-of-the-line unit featuring maximum resolution at a remarkable distance.
- The
Cobra R1300S2 - provides a maximum video resolution of 1920 x 1200 at 1300 feet
with stereo audio and RS-232 signals. The Cobra R1300S2 can be daisy-chained
for larger installations.
- The
Cobra R1300A - supports video at a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 at 1300
feet with audio and can be daisy-chained for larger installations.
- The Cobra R500-2 - offers a maximum video resolution of 1600 x 1200 at
500 feet along with RS-232 signals.
- The
Cobra R500A - supports video with a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 at 500
feet along with audio.
The Cobra
receivers feature Kramer’s Tru-Sync™ processing, which allows the receiver to
sample the sync at the source and recreate it perfectly at the destination,
rather than sending the sync signal down a long cable, as in a traditional
twisted pair transmission. The technology results in more stable images with
less noise and distortion over long distances.
Cobra Matrix Switchers and Distribution Amplifier Complement
Transmitters
Two new Cobra full matrix twisted pair switchers and a twisted pair
distribution amplifier complete the line-up. The Cobra MX-88 (8x8 matrix
switcher) and MX-1616 (16x16 matrix switcher) and the Cobra DA-9 1x9 DA require
input from a Cobra transmitter, and the units support the video, stereo audio
and RS-232 signals from any of the Cobra transmitters and receivers. The
switchers offer both front panel and RS-232 serial control.
